Cerita tentang “Semut Merah 75: Mengubah Dunia dari Kisah Inspiratif”

Alhamdulillahirabbil alamin, this my last review for my assignment. However, I will do more to review a literature again and again. Insyaallah.
The book entitled “Semut Merah 75: Mengubah dunia dari kisah Inspiratif” is very amazing books creates by some students in abroad which give us a lot of inspirations.
We have to know not all things is easy, but in this world nothing is impossible. Actually, this book views how Indonesian students do an extraordinary effort to study abroad. Moreover, it also tells to the parents that study abroad is no too expensive. This unlike their imagination.
Guys, we have to be a proud of them who study abroad because what they do is not easy to gain their dreams. They are not only thinks about their dreams but also want to build our country Indonesia to be better in the future by their knowledge and experience in abroad.
Never stop about our steps to get our dream. We have so many potentials to do more in our lives. Don’t make a limitation to our-self to be developed.
In our-lives, we have to choose our decision. If we never do it, we get nothing. And everything has a risk. Remember that!

This is one of my favorite quotes in Bang Tereliye novel entitled “Pulang”.
This book is highly recommended.  The term 'home' used by the author isn't merely a home. The story of Bujang told us wherever we have been to, whatever we have done, we will go 'home', to the 'real home'. The story is a combination of stories have been told by the author in his previous book.
Touching part is when Bujang lost one by one of his loved ones because they were 'going home'.
The best part I learned from this book is that the best way to live this life is to live it, past is past, love yourself, and let go all the hatred in heart. The best moment in life is when we can conquer our-self because the most dangerous and powerful enemy isn't from outside, it's our-self.

Teman-teman kata-kata “Pulang” memang sangat menarik.

"A DESCENT INTO THE MAELSTORM"
Essentially this is one man telling his terrifying story of being on a ship when a hurricane comes along and pushes the ship towards a whirlpool and how he became the lone survivor of the shipwreck. The horror in this story is all courtesy of Mother Nature. The author's description of being in the midst of the ocean was vivid, I could feel the terror. Interestingly, salvation is found by observing the natural phenomena around him and determining what would give him a greater chance of surviving the maelstrom
this is one of my favourite Poe story. Great adventure story with vivid descriptions and use of resources to (Isaac Newton, etc) to ensure accuracy of the story. Incorporates science very well. Some sources have even listed this as a Science Fiction story. Not truly a Sci-Fi story but clever use of science.

Are you Indonesian?? you have to watching this film.

The film’s title: Habibie & Ainun
Genre: Romantic
Director: Hanung Bramantyo
Production: MD Entertainment
Cast: Reza Rahardian (BJ. Habibie), BCL (Ainun Habibie), Tio Pakusadewo (Soeharto)
Indonesian film industry finally awakened to offer quality movies. After a long time the people of Indonesia are served with horror film with semi-pornographic scenes. Film Habibie & Ainun produced by renowned director Hanung Bramantyo. This film is an adaptation of a novel by Mr. BJ. Habibie personal story about his life journey with his love Mrs. Ainun. The novel he wrote after the death of Alm. Ainun Habibie, as a mark of his very deep love for his wife.
The film told about a leader and Indonesian intellect, Mr. BJ Habibie who tried to build up the nation. The film also tried to unite the romance between a marriage couple in a family with a bandage of nationalism spirit. The love story between Habibie and Ainun provided valuable lesson for all Indonesian society. The loyalty and sacrifice they gave to the nation offered a lot of lessons for us to continue their struggle.

Their conflict and struggle to developed the nation presented in this film is able to make the audience cry, even the former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his wife, Ani Yudhoyono shed tears when watching it for the first time.
The biography of BJ Habibie and Ainun Habibie are elegantly presented. His science and ambition to create Indonesia Aircraft are the positive values and encourage us to be his successor.
Unfortunately, this beautiful story of this film is a little tarnished by the unprofessional product ads. It is very disappointed advertisement. Although it is only a few seconds, but it still disturbs the story.
Finally, for those who have a high spirit of nationalism and love romance must watch this film which is one of the best film ever created by the Indonesian.

“Cinderella” lagi

Film                 : Cinderella
Sutradara         : Kenneth Branagh
Produser          : Simon Kinberg, Allison Shearmur (Walt Disney Pictures)
Penulis Naskah : Chris Weitz, Aline Brosh McKenna
Cast                 :  Lily James, Richard Madden, Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Derek Jacobi, Holliday Grainger, Stellan Skarsgard, Sophie McShera, Nonso Anozie
I am very fond of films by Walt Disney Pictures. Although the film always takes the old stories, they are very creative in developing ideas that make people really enjoy their work.
The film directed by Kenneth Branagh gives a slightly different color to the previous Cinderella movie, but it does not change the essence of the story. The story is based on the Disney animated film in 1950, with some adjustments. In this version, Cinderella and Prince Charming had met before the dance palace. At that time, the Prince revealed that he was just an ordinary court officials. Fairy Godmother has a greater role in this film than the previous film, because she initially disguised as an old beggar who oversaw Cinderella before finally revealing that she was a magical creature.
The film tells the story of Ella, who made her as a servant by his stepmother. After his father died, her stepmother and stepsisters behavior became increasingly more and more. Ella who became a servant, was also renamed to be Cinderella. And then Ella met a handsome stranger in the woods. She did not realize that the person was a prince. When the palace sent an open invitation to all the girls, Cinderella was hoping to meet with the prince again.
This film gives a different view than the previous one. With a few changes to the story and some creative ideas. This film has won the hearts of the audience, including me.

This is “5 CM”

Have you ever felt flying to the highest point before finally knocked down to the lowest point? If not, maybe you’ll soon feel it as soon as you wrestle with various promotion of a film which is said to be named as the most eagerly awaited film in 2012.
That is 5cm film, a film adapted from one of the works of young Indonesian novelist, Donny Dhirgantara. The fact that the 5cm is packaged nicely film can not be ignored. It is probably because of the selection of the simple theme but striking if compared to other films which are more inclined towards vulgarism. 5cm likes savanna for Indonesian movie lovers. Mahameru which is known vicious, hostile, also considered playing the role as the public interest puller. The natural beautiful view, the values of struggle, and education are summarized together with the highest peak in java to be another twist that also cause euphoria.
The language used to represent the idea of friendship is full of artful sense that makes the society is getting impatient waiting for a multi-dimensional format of what has impressed their mind. Some Trailer released by the Soraya Intercine creates its own sort of stimulant to the beautiful view of Mount Semeru.
The public expectations have already been so high. Unfortunately it had to be destroyed along with simultaneously screening in all cinemas in Indonesia. How could it not, if in his novel, Donny Dhirgantoro is considered in very capable of realizing the wildest fantasy with his tremendous words, then he also named as a playwright in the film. But he failed to deliver the value of beautiful imagination.
the story began with a group of teenagers consists of Genta, Arial, Ian, Riani, and Zafran who have been a friendship for years. The relationship developed to restrain one another. They spent too much time together so that they forgot that there was something beyond their friendship which is needed to accomplish. The saturation resulted a decision that during the next three months they would not communicate one another. They had to live their own life.
Genta (Fedi Nuril) as one of the central figures in 5cm, planned a very thrilling adventure to celebrate their comeback. And the celebration was climbing Mount Semeru, where Genta and his five friends would climb up to the top in the Indonesian independence day. A lot of thrilling adventure adorn their journey. The trip was not all about the celebration of their comeback together, but also about their feeling. The trip that awakened them that there was a hidden meaning behind their friendship existed for years. lots of loves actually rose during their trip.

Rizal Mantovani as director 5cm is rated successfully to present a spectacle that will be full of values, struggle, friendship also love. If satisfaction is only assessed in terms of stories and jokes in the style of the capital teenagers scattered in almost all scenes, this film is a success. But in fact, there are other factors that actually dimmed the echo the film already started running from the date of this 12-12-12.

Genta is a tough figure of experienced climber. Adventurous spirit flowed in his veins heavily, so the plan was related to its biggest-climbing world. From here one discrepancy began. Could Genta who was so fond of his friend decide on a reckless celebration? the Semeru mountain is not a simple field that could be passed by his friends, which incidentally do not have any climbing experience. Imagine the Ian, Riani, Arial and Dinda even released to the heavy terrain.
The worst actually happens at the end of scene, it violates the norms and values that evolves in the world of climbing. Climbing is an extreme sport that risks our life, there are several regulations relating to it. One of it is the mountain classification. either by the Sierra Club and the Yosemite Decimal System there are some fields that should not be passed by the ordinary people because of the hard terrain. Genta and his friends violated these rules and emerged as a hero who hoisted the red and white pillars at the highest peak in Java. Though logically, the flag raising Indonesia’s independence day is the most important moment for all climbers. It is logic if Genta and friends are over dramatized described as alpha team mandated to rise it?
In spite of some awkward scene about Genta and his friends. this film is created to entertain us. There are some lessons provided, such as friendship, love, and togetherness that we have to keep it forever. This film is recommended to watch for those who have a friendship soul.

"The Ugly Duckling"

this short story talk about an ugly duckling. An ugly duckling spends an unhappy year ostracized by the other animals before he grows into a beautiful swan.
It's a wonderful story about Self-acceptance,The Difference and how it does not necessarily mean a bad thing!
The Ugly Duckling is a classic story apt to impart lessons on morality to children.
This is a story about a baby duck that is born out of a huge egg and looks 'ugly'. In few words, the author presents the reaction of its mother who conditioned to appreciate beauty than character is ashamed to accept it. Though, she attempts to protect the duckling but succumbs to constant critical remarks made by the community. The frustrations of a parent over inability to shield the duckling against the social loathing and the shame associated with the ‘ugly’ part of oneself were easy to read between the lines. The duckling moves away from the community, travels distant places, survives all the torments and struggles to find where he belongs. Finally, one day out of shame it looks down in the lake water and finds a beautiful white swan. It is this reflection that fills its heart with happiness. The story ends with two morals: ‘To savor happiness one needs to go through hardships’ and ‘No matter what your past is, your present defines you and determines your future’.

In the entire book, the word ‘ugly’ appeared rather strongly for me. The definitive nature of ‘ugly’ changes when it is used as a ‘Label’. Once labeled, a person is persecuted, detested and constantly reminded of one’s deficits in such a way that the identity of a person solidifies as one of ‘handicap’; becoming a ‘self’ ruptured beyond repair. I would recommend that if you read this story to your little ones, do not just focus on imparting the above mentions lessons from the book, but also impart sensitivity to and appreciation of ‘the differences’ that exist in this world.

A story is an instrument that indulges the reader into a world of fantasy thereby granting insight into the roots of the real problems. This is true for any fiction, but fables, stories and tales are unique owing to their simplicity and because they go beyond the limits of societies, cultures and time periods. For me, reading this book was therapeutic. The other component of the book is the illustrations, which were serene and can add a flavor to reading for children. I recommend this book to both kids and adults alike.
